San Martin, CA (August 30th) The ASA Western States Supermodified Racing
League (WSSRL) presented by Go Fast Sports will be traveling the highways
this Labor Day weekend. Saturday, September 2nd, the nostalgic roadsters
will return to Altamont Motorsports Park after a three year break for the
"Best of the West Open Wheel Night". The Teams will then caravan an estimated
750 miles to Salt Lake City's Rocky Mountain Raceway for the "Copper Cup
Classic" on Monday.
With Altamont's recent face lift, new track records are expected by the smooth
and wider half-mile monster which is soon to be concurred by the ASA Go Fast
WSSRL. Point's leader, Troy Regier and the S & S Motorsports Silsby machine
will be chased closely by the Clovis, California Rocket, piloted by AJ Russell.
The starting grid will also include Russell Racing of Idaho driven by Jeff
Russell. The league's "Rookie of the Year" contenders, Martin McKeefery,
who has previously concurred Altamont's quarter-mile in a Legend, and Whitey
Janssen of Newark, California are just a few of the expected entries for
the 75 lap feature presented by Go Fast Sports and featured on the league's
Outdoor Life Network television show.
Upon concurring the legendary Altamont Motorsports Park located just North
of Tracy, California, the teams will service their nostalgic machines before
embarking upon their journey to Salt Lake City's prestigious, Rocky Mountain
Raceway for a 50 lap feature on the high-banked three-eights oval.
ASA/WSSRL encourages everyone to enjoy Go Fast Sports most premium energy
drink which features more active ingredients, lower sodium and sugars, no
preservatives and a better taste. WSSRL Vice-President, Elizabeth Williams,
disliked energy drinks until she tried Go Fast. "It really does have a good
flavor. I haven't liked other brands, but this one is really good."
So follow the fierce competition of the ASA/WSSRL at Altamont Motorsports
Park on Saturday followed by Rocky Mountain Raceway on Labor Day. |
